Just from this academic year taking care of a few dorm students who go to the government school for their education. And also we occasionally go to local churches and share the word of God as we have fellowship with them.
The purpose of the FLC is to equip and mature our students so they can fulfill their purpose and design that God has for them. We believe God has called us to equip young Burmese men and woman to touch their nation with the Love of Jesus and make Him known in every area of society.
Bible Students – Graduation On Saturday February 22nd we held our 2nd Bible School graduation. It gives my wife and I tremendous joy to see our Bible Students finish their 2 year diploma. Although many of these students come to us from churches many of them have very little understanding the Bible and what the church means for the believer in Christ. But they come wanting to know the Lord and a zeal to serve in His house. For most of them the beginning of the school year is very difficult for them because of the disciplines that are placed upon their lives. Pastor’s Conference – Empowering Pastors In early March we held a pastor’s conference for pastor’s in our area. We were delighted to see 13 pastor’s come for very first pastor’s conference. I had felt over the past few months that the Lord wanted us to help empower local pastor’s, we also had two pastors come from Laos. I ministered on the 5 purposes of the local church. Our goal is to empower pastor’s from this area of Burma and we had a wonderful day ministering to them thru God’s Word. We want to do the best we can to help these pastor’s become successful in Pastoring and growing their local churches. For the past two weeks we did our annual outreach for the children who come from our village area and a couple villages from the surrounding area. The staff, our children from our children’s home and our Bible students did an outstanding job presenting Jesus through drama, testimony, and songs. Our children and the Bible students built the stage and decorated our campus for Sweet December and for our Christmas outreach and it looked fantastic. To see the children take their own initiative is very satisfying for us to see. Of course we capped off both outreaches with meals for everyone. Fall Student Outreach This past November our students took the Gospel into a couple remote areas of Burma.For some of our students this was their first outreach and they enjoyed the opportunity to share the message of the Gospel thru Drama’s, Testimony, sharing the Jesus movie and Preaching.After almost three months of biblical instruction it was time to share what they have learned. It is important that our students experience what an outreach all entails. This is all part of their development as a messenger of the Gospel. Going to places they had not gone to before was exciting for the students. Praying for people in the villages gave them a taste of the enjoyment of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This year we made a big leap in the amount of children that we have taken in our children's home. Last year we had 17 children and this year we now have 44 children. This has made quite a demand upon our faith in God, but He is more than able to supply all of our needs. We are excited that God has a great future for these children and we are honored that we are able to play a part in His overall plan in Burma. We are so grateful for those who have continued to pray and contribute to the work God has called us to. This past August we began our new Bible School year. We started this year differently as we started with a Worship conference. I was so blessed to see the students hungry to learn all about Worship. We had a Burmese Pastor Marteeyet from Yangon and come and teach our students. We are also blessed to have a young pastor Ah Phar come and teach our students on a weekly basis. Both of these pastor's are quite talented and we are grateful for the time they have put into the lives of our students.
